The current focal point for GC network operations in Thailand is the Employers' Confederation of Thailand (ECOT).

Major functions:

• facilitate negotiations between employers and workers in the forms of discussion between equal organisation, with participations of representatives from both parties

• promote good relations between employers and workers as the intermediary of two organisations to help reducing tensions and enhance the spirit of negotiation

• promote understanding and co-operation between private sector employers and the government

• equip member employers with the latest information, knowledge and skills to face the new challenges in the economy so as to be competitive in order to achieve sustainable growth
